These extended hunts allow for greater flexibility with weather, scouting, and stalking—critical factors in a successful sheep hunt.
Our team has been guiding in the Chugach for years, building extensive knowledge of the terrain and sheep behavior through countless days afield. Our experienced guides know every drainage, ridge, and hidden basin where rams tend to frequent, giving you a significant edge when it comes to locating mature sheep.
These are true backpack hunts—there is no air support, no vehicle access, and no shortcuts. You must be prepared to carry a 45-pound pack and navigate steep, remote terrain. The Chugach Mountains are physically demanding, but the rewards are immense: bigger-bodied sheep, heavy-horned rams, and far less hunting pressure compared to more accessible areas.
